We just launched our first ad
We just launched our first ad of the campaign, and it says something too many politicians are afraid to admit:
“It’s not that we need more Democrats in Springfield—we just need better ones.”
Our campaign is about what’s possible when we decide to do better. And this message comes straight from the conversations I’ve been having every day—on your doorstep, on the street, or at one of our many salons.
A young couple in Lincoln Park told me they’re thinking about leaving the city because rent keeps rising every year. They don’t want to go, but finding a home they can afford is getting harder and harder.
Someone else in North Center told me she wants to bike more but doesn’t feel safe navigating a disconnected bike grid and dangerous streets. She wants the freedom to get around without fear.
And a grandmother in Lakeview told me she’s fighting to make sure her trans grandchild can access the health care they need. She wants her family protected—and she wants our legislators to do more.
These conversations are why I’m running. Because it doesn’t need to be this way.
We can build more housing so people can afford to stay.
We can design safer streets that work for everyone.
We can stand up for our families and challenge the systems that aren’t working.
That’s why the Chicago Tribune endorsed our campaign, calling affordability “the issue of this political moment,” and because they see the urgency and practical solutions we’re bringing to the table.
This is a 100% grassroots campaign. No corporate PAC money. Just neighbors, volunteers, and supporters who believe government should work for everyday people.
