Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth Endorses Nick Uniejewski for Illinois State Senate
“Nick has the expertise to draft smart policy and the compassion to lead us into the future,” said Manaa-Hoppenworth.
Chicago, IL – Today, Chicago’s 48th Ward Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth announced her endorsement of Nick Uniejewski for State Senate in Illinois’ 6th District.
“I have known Nick since he was an organizer with Indivisible and I’ve seen his commitment to community up close,” said Manaa-Hoppenworth. “He has the expertise to draft smart policy and the compassion to lead us into the future. The State Senate needs leaders like Nick who will fight hard for their communities, listen to diverse populations, and organize alongside them every step of the way.”
“I’m honored to have Alderwoman Manaa-Hoppenworth’s endorsement and grateful for her continued partnership,” said Uniejewski. “I’ve spent my career organizing and fighting for our community, and I’m ready to take that experience to the State Senate to challenge the status quo, advance bold solutions, and deliver results for the people of Illinois.”
Nick Uniejewski is challenging longtime incumbent Senator Sara Feigenholtz in the March 17, 2026 Democratic primary in Illinois’ 6th District. His platform centers on community-driven solutions to housing affordability, modernized and fully funded public transit, and a more inclusive, people-first state government. He has pledged to reject all corporate PAC money, building a campaign entirely rooted in grassroots support.
