Endorsement News: Northside Democracy for America (NDFA)
I’m proud to share that our campaign has been endorsed by Northside Democracy for America (NDFA)!
I got my start in grassroots organizing, and I know real change comes from showing up, listening, and getting to work. NDFA has always focused on electing fighters who listen to their communities and build the coalitions needed to get things done—and that’s exactly the kind of leadership I hope to bring to the State Senate.
Meanwhile, my opponent has never faced a primary challenger in 30 years. She’s been allowed to coast for years, absent from the community, while our neighbors are left dealing with crises in housing, transit, and the rising cost of living.
Contrast that with us: I’m everywhere. On the doors in Lincoln Square. Sitting next to you on the X9 bus. Hosting a salon at your neighbor’s condo in North Center. Out on the sidewalks collecting petition signatures so we can get on the ballot and give voters a real choice for change.
That’s what politics should be—neighbors talking to neighbors, building relationships, and shaping the future together. Just the other day I ran into someone from old campaign work—we caught up, laughed about mutual friends, and then started talking about the issues still facing us today. That’s the kind of connection that makes this campaign real.
But what does a state senator actually do? It’s not about keeping a seat warm in Springfield. It’s about listening, convening, and solving problems—and that requires showing up, every day, in every corner of the district.
