50,000 doors worth of gratitude
I want to take a moment to say how proud I am of our campaign—and especially of the volunteers who keep us going.
Over the past year, our campaign has knocked on more than 50,000 doors across all 10 wards of the 6th District. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people believe in showing up for their neighbors, listening, and building something real together.
We just released a video that captures that spirit—the joy, the work, and the community behind this campaign.
Organizing is about showing up consistently, listening to our neighbors’ concerns, and building real relationships. That’s how you build lasting power with our neighbors.
That’s not just a message—it’s how we’ve run this campaign from day one. Pairing door-knocking with 220 salons, house parties, and community events, we’ve organized block by block and ward by ward. And at the doors, voters keep telling us the same thing: this is the first time a campaign has really taken the time to listen.
One supporter from Lincoln Park said, “Homeownership in our neighborhood is simply not a reality for most families right now. When Nick knocked on my door, my husband and I finally felt heard. He understands how hard it is for families like ours to stay in the neighborhood and actually wants to make housing more affordable for everyone across Illinois.”
Another supporter from North Center told us: “Nick has already shown us what real leadership looks like by organizing in our community and doing the work right now—not just showing up around Election Day.”
That’s the kind of leadership I’m running to bring to Springfield, and it’s only possible because of your support. I’m proud to be in this fight with you—and especially glad for all the Hotties for Nick. 😘
